  6. 6
    Round Lab Dokdo Cream

    Moisturizer

    Round Lab Dokdo Cream

    Nickel-sized amount, pressed into skin.

Body

Body PIH

Goal: fade old dark marks while preventing new follicular inflammation. Keep irritation low.

  1. 1
    Differin Gel
    CeraVe Moisturizing Cream

    Differin nights

    2x / week to start

    Differin Gel 0.1% adapalene

Use on clean, completely dry skin, then follow with CeraVe Moisturizing Cream.

    • Apply a very thin film over the entire affected buttock area, not individual spots.
    • Use roughly one pea-sized amount per buttock.
    • Avoid the gluteal cleft, genital or perianal skin, broken or irritated skin, and any unhealed shingles area.
  2. 2
Good Molecules Discoloration Correcting Body Treatment

    Other nights

    non-Differin nights

Good Molecules Discoloration Correcting Body Treatment

Apply over the same broad dark-spot area. Follow with CeraVe Moisturizing Cream if needed.

  3. 3

    Increase only if comfortable

    after 4-6 weeks

Move Differin to 3 nights per week

Increase only if there is no persistent redness, burning, peeling, or tenderness.

    • Keep Good Molecules on the non-Differin nights.
  4. 4

    If inflammatory bumps return

    2-3x / week

Consider a 4% benzoyl peroxide wash

    • Change out of sweaty tennis clothes and shower reasonably soon after exercise.
  5. 5

    Track progress

Take one photo about every month

Use similar lighting and judge improvement over months, not weeks.

Targeted care

Scalp / dandruff

  1. 1

    Nizoral A-D

    2x / week

    Ketoconazole 1% shampoo

  2. 2

    Selsun Blue Maximum Strength Moisturizing

    1x / week

    Selenium sulfide 1% shampoo

  3. 3

    Other wash days

    Regular gentle shampoo as needed

Apply medicated shampoo mainly to the scalp and leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing.

    • With short hair, conditioner is optional. Use a small amount of rinse-out conditioner only when hair feels dry.

Nose redness experiment

Run one controlled 4-week experiment so the result is easier to interpret.

  1. 1

    Change one thing

    4 weeks

Keep the facial routine unchanged except for the nose

    • Do not apply Timeless 20% Vitamin C to the nose or alar area.
    • Continue moisturizer and sunscreen there.
    • Do not add facial ketoconazole, azelaic acid, or another redness treatment during the experiment.
  2. 2

    Take comparison photos

Baseline, 2 weeks, and 4 weeks

Optionally take a couple of before- and after-tennis photos to see whether exercise reliably worsens the redness.

  3. 3

    Interpret the result

Change the routine only after the experiment

If the nose improves, vitamin-C irritation becomes more likely. If it does not, reassess instead of adding multiple treatments at once.

Tennis day

Tennis day

  1. 1
    Anessa Perfect UV Skincare Milk

    Before: sport sunscreen

    Anessa Perfect UV Skincare Milk

Use on face and exposed body 15-20 minutes before. Do not miss ears, neck, or nose.

  2. 2
    Skin1004 Hyalu Cica Sun Stick

    During: reapply

    about every 2 hrs

    Skin1004 Hyalu Cica Sun Stick

Swipe over face. Blot sweat with a towel instead of rubbing.

  3. 3

    After: change and shower

    promptly

    Use a gentle body wash

Change out of sweaty clothes and shower reasonably soon after exercise.

  4. 4
    Skin1004 Centella Light Cleansing Oil
    Skin1004 Ampoule Foam

    After: double cleanse face

Skin1004 Cleansing Oil -> Ampoule Foam

Sport sunscreen is heavy; oil cleanse fully removes it.

  5. 5
    Round Lab Dokdo Toner
    Round Lab Dokdo Cream
    CeraVe Moisturizing Cream

    After: rehydrate

Round Lab Toner -> Dokdo Cream; CeraVe creams for body

Moisturize after cleansing. Follow the planned PM active only if skin still feels comfortable.

  6. 6

    After: check the skin

    before actives

A normal tennis day does not automatically mean skipping Differin

Skip Differin or retinal that night only if the skin is actually sunburned, irritated, or chafed.

Rules

  • Vitamin C belongs in the morning; retinoids belong at night.
  • Sunscreen is the main anti-aging and PIH-prevention step.
  • Start actives slowly. Irritation can create new dark spots.
  • Do not run every retinoid touchpoint on the same night.
  • After tennis, change out of sweaty clothes and shower promptly with a gentle body wash.
  • A normal tennis day does not require skipping Differin; sunburned, irritated, or chafed skin does.
